August 1st, 2010Upgrading my iPhone 3Gs to iOS4
June 23rd, 2010The Apple instructions looked easy enough. Plug it in and select update in iTunes.
Then I got the unknown error occurred (1611) message in iTunes and needed to do a restore. Luckily I had backed it up before trying the system update. So hopefully in about 30 minutes it will say the restore was successful. Shit happens I guess, but it happens a lot.
So my iPhone restore worked and it didn’t restore any apps, so I’ve now synced my apps. Some apps kept the files associated with it, and some like my Comic Reader Mobi needs me to re-import my comics. Email says it can’t connect to the server but then proceeds to download my email. Fun stuff, but it looks like everything is working.
Madrid and Barcelona
June 6th, 2010Madrid, day 2
May 23rd, 2010I took one of those sight seeing open air bus tours to get oriented with the city. So far my first impression is that it’s a very beautiful place with amazing architecture and very nice people. Some places here are a little Toro crazy and hang the stuffed heads on their walls. While heads on walls make me want to puke, a lots of animal activists that are against bull fights, are also very active in Spain’s politics.

Tonight I ate at a restaurant called Primo Di Piu. I ordered as the main dish Raviolis stuffed with burrata and topped with black truffles. It was very good and would go back if I was staying longer in Madrid.
